I had never appreciated sunset as much as I did in this very moment when I saw the golden hues of cidre being poured into these glasses. I never knew the true meaning of romance until this very moment when sunrays brushed against the delicate petal of flowers, this is what it must feel to be sunkissed !

I felt warm and so welcome in the presence of Sandrine and Ophelie. The beauty of traveling to an unknown place for the first time and feeling of butterflies in your belly upon meeting people you have only interacted through social media. This trip to Bordeaux changed so many things and gave me memories to last a lifetime.

We had a good banter over a glass of fizz. Post the glorious sunset we went in to the house to talk about photography in detail. I was already in love over the simplicity and warmth of people around me. We talked, laughed, baked and photographed but mostly we all came away as friends. We learnt together and got to know a unique side to everyone, some moments cannot be captured in camera or for the public eye, they are best left unsaid..

We learnt how to make macaroons and Caneles de Bordeaux and every meal was a feast in real sense. We all jumped in a car and wandered off to St Emilion for a day trip. As we drove past endless vineyards we decided to do the unthinkable, we sang at the top of lungs to Beyonce and Westlife. Weirdness was getting weirder by the minute and then we arrived in the rustic town and all of sudden we all went quiet as it was all very surreal and too precious to spend our time talking. Time was limited and the place too atmospheric. We tried to soak in as much October sun as possible before we drove back. We went to a local farmer's market the next day and the fresh produce reminded me so much of India and the local markets.
